| Motivational Christian speaker, Jo Bender is a wife, mother and meteorologist whose personal lessons in God’s transforming power led her to begin sharing her story with others.
Her enthusiasm for sharing God’s love is contagious. She is passionate about equipping women to face the storms in their lives involving personal spiritual growth, friendships, marriage and parenting.
She holds a Master's degree in Theological Studies from Northwestern College of Graduate Studies and plans to pursue a PhD in the next few years.

Jo began her ministry with a crown on her head. As Miss Minnesota 1992, Jo traveled the state sharing her faith with both students and adults. She launched a self-esteem program titled, "I Like Me," which she shared with thousands of elementary school children during her reign. Jo also realized the importance of sharing how God both challenged her and chose to work through her as she traveled the state of Minnesota.

| Jo also worked as a Missionary, spending a year in Reynosa, Mexico, where she helped border churches start youth ministry programs and helping to run a tutoring center for children struggling in their English-speaking school.

Jo lives in the Twin Cities with her husband and two boys. She enjoys traveling as a speaker as well as leading a women's ministry group at her home church.
Meteorology is still a part of her life, as she still steps on to the television set on a freelance basis as time allows, but being able to spend time as a family is a daily blessing for Jo. She hopes to begin teaching in an academic setting in the near future and pursue her PhD.
